Co-ordinator of Inclusion and Healthcare, 37 hpw (Term Time Only + 10 Days)

Bamburgh School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring Co-ordinator of Inclusion and Healthcare to join our team. This is a new role specific to our school. We are seeking a supportive enthusiastic person to support our pupils and families in safely meeting the educational and health needs of pupils. This role is not class based.
We are a school for pupils age 4-16 whose special needs cover a broad spectrum of medical, physical, social, emotional and moderate learning difficulties.
Good communication skills are essential. You would need an awareness of the issues faced by families of pupils with complex learning needs and additional health needs.

You would be responsible for the co-ordination and management of both the Education Health and Care plans process in school and organization of the administration of medicine process. Appropriately sharing information with other professionals, both educational and health would be central to the role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to influence and manage two key areas of Inclusion and Health care within school and support SEN provision across the school.
We require the following:

  • Considerable experience working within an SEN establishment.
  • A systematic and practical approach to work with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proficient user of ICT including Microsoft Word and Excel and strong data analysis skills.
  • An ability to form positive working relationships with colleagues, other professionals and students.

Home/School Teaching Assistant – Level 2, 32.5hpw (Term Time Only)

Required for January 2020

Fixed Term post – expected duration until July 2020 as a minimum

Bamburgh School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring Home/School Teaching Assistant to join our successful team on a fixed term basis from January 2020.

We are a school for pupils age 4-16 whose special needs cover a broad spectrum of medical, physical, social, emotional and moderate learning difficulties.
The post is to support the learning of a named child with work within the home environment and support their transition into school where appropriate.

We require the following:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for learning and raising standards
  • The ability to inspire and develop pupils in all areas of learning and achievement
  • Experience of working with children with SEN
  • A commitment to contributing to school life and our community
  • The skills to provide feedback to pupils/parents and teaching colleagues regarding progress and achievement.
