At our school, we’re passionate about helping every child grow in confidence and independence and reach their full potential. We believe it’s the ongoing attention to posture and positioning throughout each day that leads to meaningful progress over time.

Mrs Wyatt works with our wonderful class teams to make sure every child has the right support for their posture and movement throughout the school day. This includes using specialist equipment and therapies such as standing frames, supportive seating, floor time, gaiters, hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.

She works closely with physiotherapists, orthotists, wheelchair services, school staff and families to create a supportive and collaborative environment. Ensuring that 24-hour postural management is seamlessly integrated into each child’s daily routine.

As part of the school’s Manual Handling Team, Mrs Wyatt helps assess how children move and transfer safely. She writes clear handling plans and trains staff to make sure children are moved safely, comfortably and with dignity.

Mrs Wyatt also supports children with their exercises and therapy activities, following their physiotherapy plans. She monitors progress and adapts support as needed — helping children feel proud, confident and more independent in how they move.

In her spare time, Mrs Wyatt enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her family, whether it’s sailing on a lake or climbing a mountain — always finishing with a well-earned ice cream or hot chocolate.
