How it began….
During Spring and Summer 2022, Sage UK Ltd kindly offered their support to our School to help us get our allotment garden back up and running. Covid restrictions had meant that, for two years, we were unable to work in the garden space and were also unable to have anyone come in to help us. The allotment had become overgrown with weeds and the polytunnel was taken over by spiders!
The company has its base in Newcastle and supports local organisations all over the world via its Sage Foundation. A team of volunteers worked so hard for 3 days, giving up their time free of charge.
This was the start of a partnership between a great North East company and our very special school.
How it’s going…
We were in need of a new fence around our Forest School and the team came back in 2023 to gave us their time and skills to install a fence around the perimeter – no small task.
They also painted in our EY area and our main yard and worked so hard over the 3 days.
